Default Anybody running the toyota f40 body

Anyone running the proline f40 body? I'm looking to get rid of my weighty defender and this is what I'm thinking of next. Need a light weight comp body.

I did, didn't make near the difference I thought it would, but then again I changed a bunch of stuff so who knows. It's a HUGE body. Looks great though.

Thoughts, pics and ramblings starting on post 99: OSRC's TRX-4 Defender "Greybeard"

I just picked up the Raptor, and it's far lighter. If your looking for a comp body, something truckish is the way to go.

That's funny you think getting rid of the defender body and even putting on this f40 body would make a difference. But again it also depends on what else you changed too. Lol. I put a jeep body on my trx4 about the same size body along with other mods and it definitely makes a big difference. Of course I didnt just make one change at a time and see how it effects its. Now my trx4 will climb anything.

I mocked up the pro-line fj40 on my 12.8" wheelbase trx4 and wasn't digging the fitment, no matter how I positioned it I felt like the body is really meant for a 13" wheelbase truck. The pro-line body is thicker than most lexan bodies, so there isn't much, if any weight savings over a stripped down trx4 defender body.

My solution to this issue is to scratch build a 13" wheelbase truck, as I insist on using this body, and dont yet have a 13" truck. Plus more toy trucks=more better.
