Backyard course Made myself a little course in the backyard. I now have 6 days of crawling experience. Loving it so far! Had my 6 year old daughter film a run. Watch "Trx4 sport backyard crawler course" on YouTube https://youtu.be/ZtDGf7b1xXc |
Re: Backyard course Great start to your backyard course! The Sport performed great and looked nice and smooth! I like the bridge you made. Your daughter did a great job filming![emoji106] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: Backyard course Awesome!!! Looks like a lot of fun! I really like how part of it is the landscaping!!! |
Re: Backyard course Thanks guys! I've slowly been collecting rocks from job sites and taking them home [emoji23] Due to covid the truck took 5 weeks to get delivered so i had plenty of time to start building the course. Its not exactly challenging right now but you gotta start somewhere right?!?! Super happy with how the truck performs but i really have nothing to compare it to... |
Re: Backyard course I was in the same boat with waiting on the truck. Nice thing about a backyard course is seeing how mods affect the handling / performance right away. You don’t have to load up and go anywhere for a test and tune. |

Re: Backyard course Made a bunch of changes and added more stuff to drive over! Loving this side of the rc hobby guys. Should have done it years ago. I haven't driven my fast rc's since i bought this thing [emoji16] Watch "Trx4 sport on the backyard crawler course + SURPRISE ENDING" on YouTube https://youtu.be/Vx45C4rwHlw |
Re: Backyard course Surprising how well those tires hook up on the wet stuff. Nice job on the rig and the course is lookin good too. |
Re: Backyard course Yeah I'm in no hurry at all to upgrade the tires. They seem to do a great job, but i have zero experience driving with any other tires. Or any other trucks for that matter. So i have nothing to compare it to. Some brass in the front and a better servo are where my $$$ are going first. |
Re: Backyard course You'll def see some performance benefits from the brass down low/ up front as well as a stronger servo. Good choices. Yep.. No need to upgrade those tires atm. They seem to like the terrain that you're throwing at em. "thumbsup" |
Re: Backyard course Im thinking brass diff covers just coz i dont really like the red ones, and then outer portal covers on the front maybe? |

That’s awesome! In the rain even! Your videographer did a fantastic job!!!! While I found a nice change with new/sticky tires you can mod your stock ones for the time being. I took the dremel to mine after second run out of the box. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6368a6008c.jpg On our 1/1 jeeps grooving the tires made a big difference on rocks and snow when air pressures are dropped. Very Similar to soft foam. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f6110dfcc4.jpg |
Re: Backyard course Very nice. I wish i had a yard to enjoy like this. |

You can also dye the red one using Ritt dye |
Re: Backyard course Added a new obstacle to the course! Check out this 1 min video Watch "Traxxas Trx4 crawling about" on YouTube https://youtu.be/7bkP8fa7i74https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9269396048.jpg |
Re: Backyard course That’s pretty cool! Was great that you re ran it because I was wondering what that would be like going up. [emoji16][emoji106] |
Re: Backyard course Thanks man! The whole course is really starting to come together. Takes me about 4 mins to drive the whole thing now which is cool. I wanna build a "play" section now where its just a big obstacle where you can attack it from 360 degrees for different lines. |
