Default Backyard course

Made myself a little course in the backyard. I now have 6 days of crawling experience. Loving it so far! Had my 6 year old daughter film a run.

Great start to your backyard course! The Sport performed great and looked nice and smooth! I like the bridge you made.

Your daughter did a great job filming!

Thanks guys! I've slowly been collecting rocks from job sites and taking them home Due to covid the truck took 5 weeks to get delivered so i had plenty of time to start building the course. Its not exactly challenging right now but you gotta start somewhere right?!?! Super happy with how the truck performs but i really have nothing to compare it to...

I was in the same boat with waiting on the truck.

Nice thing about a backyard course is seeing how mods affect the handling / performance right away. You don’t have to load up and go anywhere for a test and tune.

So true. I was amazed that i could notice how much better it was with the bumper mounts flipped. And then again when i took the expedition rack off.

Surprising how well those tires hook up on the wet stuff. Nice job on the rig and the course is lookin good too.

Yeah I'm in no hurry at all to upgrade the tires. They seem to do a great job, but i have zero experience driving with any other tires. Or any other trucks for that matter. So i have nothing to compare it to. Some brass in the front and a better servo are where my $$$ are going first.

You'll def see some performance benefits from the brass down low/ up front as well as a stronger servo. Good choices. Yep.. No need to upgrade those tires atm. They seem to like the terrain that you're throwing at em.

That’s awesome! In the rain even!

Your videographer did a fantastic job!!!!

While I found a nice change with new/sticky tires you can mod your stock ones for the time being. I took the dremel to mine after second run out of the box.

On our 1/1 jeeps grooving the tires made a big difference on rocks and snow when air pressures are dropped. Very Similar to soft foam.

Yeah brass diff covers are great for adding proportionate weight super low.... lot to choose from out there. LockedUp RC is a great US company ( active on rcc) and they have some nice steel parts. I have their TRX4 black steel portal covers and C-hubs on my Defender. Samix is also a good place to look for quality brass.

Thanks man! The whole course is really starting to come together. Takes me about 4 mins to drive the whole thing now which is cool. I wanna build a "play" section now where its just a big obstacle where you can attack it from 360 degrees for different lines.
