Is anyone running a TRX-4 with Spektrum electronics and smart batteries.
Thank you.

Using a Spektrum TX / RX on mine, but that's it. I don't see any issues with using the other stuff however.

I’ve got a dx5c with a 6100at receiver running the 2 speed and diff locks. It works nicely after taking the time to set it up.

Just curious, what switches did you assign for the 2-spd and diffs?

Were you able to put both diffs on a three position switch like the stock radio?

The 2 speed I believe I put on switch C, to match the 2 speed on my 10.3
And I wanted my diff locks to run independently so I put them on E and F

Thanks!

Boy I was really close to pulling the trigger on a DX5 Rugged but the reviews and issue with the selector buttons has me rethinking this.

No problem, I’ve heard mixed reviews on the rugged. The dx5c is pretty straight forward, and is capable of far more than I’ll ever need

Got my Defender all wired up w/SR6100, everything working well. Just have one more hookup when the Club5 light kit arrives.

The new Rugged is supposedly much better than the originals. I had to max out the sensitivity on the old Rugged just to get it to register my thumb scrolling, but then it would fling through the menu at warp speed.

The new version, with the touch pad instead of weird groove not-button thing, is much easier to use.

Otherwise, I haven't seen any problems with the trim/aux buttons on either version.

The new Rugged is way better. I tried the new one out at my LHS. I ended up buying one just to replace my old version.

Good deal, I found mine pretty easy to set everything up. Glad it worked out

I have been thinking about getting a dx5c. The factory radio is ok. But want a new spectrum radio.
