Default Derek's TRX-4 and Backyard Course

Hey fellas I'm hoping to use this place to share pics of my TRX-4 and evolution of my backyard crawler course.

Here is the beginning, day one out of the box

We have some really cool rocks to play with here

My son's favorite thing is to play with trucks!

He calls it "Cool Truck" so we made some license plates

and played some more. I will post more pics of the course but for now it's mostly finding cool angles to play on.

This is my '88 Suburban that I regret selling. I've always been fond of the square bodies.

and the TRX motivated me to dust off my old Slash and give it some love

No good pics of the servo but I started by trying an amazon 25g china one. It sucked. So I got the red Traxxas with BEC and it made a world of difference.

We've been playing around with the course with big plans in mind. For now its plywood bridges and log ramps.

Those giant rocks in your yard are so cool. I assume that they are part of the natural landscape.

Daggone I can’t see your pictures.

Just an image of broken link for all of them.

Wish I was able to see them as it sounds awesome!

The “cool truck” plates is great!

I’m still getting a broken link IMage.

Could very well be on my end is well.

My rock walls at home are majority granite as well.

The red granite is really slippery. Like slick to the touch.

That looks like a scene from Jurassic Park. I think that is the best looking TRX-4 body they make. I have to give Kudos for this next suggestion to BenP. It will take ten minutes once you have the part. A Traxxas 9T pinion gear. Makes response snappy with a 3S lipo and great slow crawl. Do some YouTube research for this and other upgrades as well as this sites search engine...what did you do to your TRX-4 today. Don’t box the stock tires....they are actually really good once you do the mods on this site.

Try clearing the cache in your browser. All the images are showing for me. If you have more than one browser installed on your PC try that.

Great pictures there. Looks like some good backyard crawling. You know you son will soon want to trade in the tonka truck and want his own crawler one day.
