Also, I have my rear shocks relocated to another hole that also holds the plastic sides on. Although I’m not too happy with the ride height, it does flex more.

Now onto my custom built trailer.

Box of the trailer:
1/2” thick plywood bottom
Shims hot glued on for the sides
The small marker lights on the chrome off the Bronco body for taillights/marker lights.

Axle:
The plastic part on the factory rock sliders where it screws on the TRX4
All thread rod for the axle
2 washers, 6 nuts, and 2 wood screws to mount the axle.

Hitch on trailer:
Extra link from when I changed wheelbase on trx4
Staples/hot glue (not the strongest, but will work until I think of another idea)

Hitch on the truck:
Wooden dowel rod painted black
Another plastic part off the TRXr rock sliders
A spare nut/bolt
2 small screws

And for anyone curious, the whole trailer setup costed around $40.

And now, probably my favorite body, the bronco body. It started out as this beautiful Sunset edition body, but then I decided to change it up a little bit. I started by just removing the Sunset stickers and it went from there. It now looks like this.

It’s amazing what a heat gun and some imagination can do.

Anybody got any ideas on how I can mount my hood stack to the body? I tired hot gluing and it came right off on the first of many flips. It’s a steel pipe and it’s hollow all they way through.

Figured I’d add how I painted my Jeep body. I live in Hawaii and there are ZERO hobby stores within 100 miles of me, and you can’t get spray paints shipped here. So, I was on the fence about even getting a body because I didn’t want it to flake off super easy. Well, I can tell you one thing, I must’ve done something right, because it isn’t flaking off ANYWHERE, not even on the spots I painted on the outside!

Here’s the paint I used:

I did 5-6 coats of the red, then backed with flat black to get a deep maroon color. The maroon is a lot more visible on person than on a camera. I then masked off the entire outside of the body except the fenders, grille, running boards, “removable top”, tailgate, door handles and door hinges. I did the whole tailgate black because I messed up, but it looks okay. I did the black on the outside to get a matte look and rough feel like it is on a 1:1 Jeep

You can see where I did flat black on the outside and where I didn’t. Id say it looks good for NAPA auto parts paint.

Also did my diff covers red to match the beadlocks on the wheels. It kind of matches, but not 100% accurate.

The tires I have on are $65 on Amazon for a set of 5. They are true beadlocks, so I was able to take my foams out. The wheels are plastic, may throw some metal beadlocks on later.

It gets crazy flex with rear shocks moved. I’m going to leave them for now, I’d rather it preform better than look better.

Well..no offense but "articulation " is overrated ;)
Imagine your wheels dropping in every rock hole ...thats really not what you want.

Common Scaler Crawler Setup Mistakes - RC TRUCK STOP
You make a good point with that.

also, I’ve heard with this setup it will want to tip back easier while climbing a hill.

When my servo gets here I’ll run it and I’ll post my thoughts on it.

Heck yeah. I like it!

I’d put it through it’s paces how it is before reverting back.

That way you at least know.

Yeah, for sure. My servo should be here tomorrow and I’ll have an insight on that too.
