trx4 axles on a gspeed chassis Good day all, Im building a new gspeed chassis with TRX4 axles. Those that have done this, what links did you use? I made some custom links out of brass based off of the SCX 10ii and thy seem a little short. The wheel base is just about 12 inches, instead of the 12.3 Any suggestions on link lengths? |
Re: trx4 axles on a gspeed chassis Play around with different length rod ends maybe, you're close. |
Re: trx4 axles on a gspeed chassis What about Traxxas Jato rod ends? They're a little longer. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |
Re: trx4 axles on a gspeed chassis I may have to look into those, I used the TRA5347 ends. Im going to be remaking some links again as high clearance, so I can make them longer and maybe use different rod ends as well to make up the length needed. I need to wait until my body get here though, so I make the links fit the body though. |
Re: trx4 axles on a gspeed chassis For fabricating custom links, all-thread really is you friend here. I put the whole mess on blocks, get the WB and axle angles where I want them, then take rough measurements. Using the rod-end I am going to use for the actual build, measure those from center eye to the end, your all-thread links should be long enough to engage about half way up the rod end, this gives you some adjustment, if needed. |
