Defender Axle Housings

Hi All,
Anyone have or know of any metal axle housings for the Defender. I can find them for TRX, but the Defender has the locking diffs and requires a different type. Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Uncle Pete

Re: Defender Axle Housings

? If you are asking about a Traxxas TRX4 Defender, any hop up TRX axle housing will fit. The Sport has spools internally, all the others have unlocking diffs but the housings are all exactly the same. All the TRX variants use the same basic parts, they just use different bodies, wheels and links to adjust the WB.

I've used a couple of sets of metal axles. There's your econo basic steel "pot metal" axles...they work fine on the Sport, but the diff unlocking didn't work out at all for me. Yeah Racing makes a really nice set - it's more $, but the fit and finish is beautiful and the locking mechanism works perfectly inside. If using the diff lock is important, I'd go with the YR axles. YEA-TRX4-S02 is the set, or the housings are available separately.

Hope that helps.
