I bought mine mid 2019 and my Trans/rec failed about a year or so later.

First I had issue making it so I would have to rebind it on a somewhat regular basis. Then it had issues with it finding and keeping center on the steering than it I had issues with the endpoints staying set.

I'm still on stock electronics except for the steering servo and addition of a castle BEC. TX/RX, mini servos still going strong after 4 years (whenever the defender first came out) and over 350 miles of hiking trails and stream crossings. This has been by far the most reliable RC i've ever owned. Only water from submarining seems to eat up bearings but I kind of expected that in any RC car.

It's funny how many have problems with the micro servos. I've never had to replace any of them. My Traxxas guy at the lbs told me he's never had any problems himself. But I'm not doughting anyone here Either. The stock electronics are ok. Its one of the things I really want to which on my build but I've been working on my scx10.2 build that's taking forever.

When I bought the kits, the LHS did warn me about the steering servo but I'm gonna run with it and upgrade as needed.

Only other issue I've run into so far is the big grub screw on the motor pinion and it grinding on the gear making a horrific noise. cars aren't complete yet so I haven't tackled that one entirely so far. I think I'll just get a smaller grub screw though.
Had the same problem with grub screw, just move the pinion further out from the motor, well that's what I did anyways.

Only failure I’ve had was the lower panhard mount stripped out after upgrading the servo.

I only crawl rocks. No dirt, water, mud.

I’m impressed with how durable it’s been between spills and dead cat bounces.
Is the trans ticking kinda quietly and about every 5 seconds or so? Cuz' I've been having the same problem on and off.

Kind of quiet.

A very rhythmic tic tic tic and is throttle dependent.

My transmission outputs were not phased from the factory. They are off 90 degrees from each other.

So I need to take the trans apart and get that squared away. Hopefully that fixes it.

If that doesn’t then it’s further investigation.

My setup is fairly loud with the mamba x and puller pro. Lol. The HH servo adds to the noise as well.
