Did some airbrushing, complete newbie to it but gotta start somewhere. Bought a few accessories (some 3D printed) a while ago and decided to make them look less new and less shiny plastic, gave them a dirty sandy worn look as well as the standard sport accessories. They looked like this:- After some messing about trying things I ended up with these after been clear coated, quite pleased:- |

Your airbrush work came out great. I'm really liking the boot prints!

Well that's the daughters' truck almost finished (they are never finished) and ready to travel. Need to finish off the lights later this week. Tent bag is made from an old sack cut down and stitched, metal pegs made from cut up hair clips (not mine :p). Polystyrene spare wheel just like on the Merc. Everything on the roof is fixed down discretely, any straps or rope is for effect. I'm confident Aimee won't lose any bits when has a spill. |

Looks good. 55 gallon oil drum for wheeling may be a tad much though lol. Nice airbrushing skills. I broke mine out last week after a long hiatus and forgot how much fun it is. |

If I ever make a garage scene on the shelf I'll probably use the oil drum there and fill the trucks space with something else.

We weren't going to bother with working lights, but I lost that discussion/argument so it turns out we are having lighting! The proper lighting kits are too expensive in my view so I added lights using leds and some metal housings. I was going to add a battery pack of 4 AA's but swapped things round so they now run off the main lipo. I have 2's in both 5000 and 7200(?) so it won't affect run time much, I'm not going to be using the lights all the time anyway. I have one master switch connected to 3 JST plugs, 1 circuit for the headlights/rear lights, 1 circuit for the flashing orange hazards, and 1 circuit for the wheel well lights. So I can choose to run them all together or just one or two circuits. I took the photos without the wheels fitted for some strange reason... The two baja lights took a bit of fettling to fit but they look good and the lighting from them is immense. I will probably make a bar to give them a bit of protection but they are pretty well out of the way and have tough casings. |

Holy cow!! Lights are awesome! Amazing amount of light that they produce! The cables running from the windshield frame to the front quarters are legit!!! A buddy of mine had those on his 1:1 jeep and they worked well for guiding tree branches up and over vs smacking the windshield like what happened to the rest of us. Great job!!! |

My reaction when first powering up the lights was the same, followed by losing my vision for 5 minutes. I won't be looking straight into them again! I think I'll still need to be careful of branches or I'll rip the roof lamps off, but they will help in most cases.

I swear whether it's RC lighting or a new flashlight or bulbs in something, I always look right at 'em at least once lol. Then I'm temporarily blinded of course. Rig looks great and holy smokes the detailed paint on the accessories looks fantastic. Some good ideas and very nice/ clean work throughout.

It's a bit like that big red button which says 'do not press', we know we shouldn't but we do anyway lol.

Lmao!! I’m glad I’m not the only one with the “moth to a flame” affliction of looking into high powered lights. |

Awesome accessories you got done. Man you must have a bad oil leak on your truck if you need a 55 gallon drum lol.

That looks really good! With all of your scale accessories you’re going to look like the clampets soon. The led driving lights are crazy. I bet they give off a lot of light. |

But I couldn't be bothered messing to remove the strong glue. I do have a lighter set of wheels for when trailing etc when the added weight isn't needed.
