I’m digging the fact that you didn’t spend $100 just for weight. I like spending money on my hobby/kit I just think some of the upgrades are overpriced. Your solution was simple and elegant. My deadbolt has gotten tippy from all the stuff I put up high on the body. I’m re thinking everything and trying to lower the cg. I considered wheel weights but throwing $100 at something that you aren’t sure is going to help seems silly. I’ll be pounding out some lead fishing weights for my rig just like you did. I didn't actually flatten out a fishing weight, I used some lead bar which I already had. I bought it to make my own fishing weights or to add inside of homemade lures. I usually buy it in rough form from a guy on ebay. 10 long sticks works out at 10GBP delivered. Each stick weighs about 170g, after cutting it down to size I ended up adding about 70g to each wheel. The seller also sells a wide flat bar but its more expensive. | |
