Not a big fan of the Axial decals and the lexan seems much more flimsy when compared to the TRX4 Sport body. I'll probably make this body my basher and get something else for display.

The color looks great in the sunlight!

If you do, I recommend getting the brass centers for them. I love my SSDs with the brass. Don't forget the SSD scale rotors while you're at it

Looks great with that candy deep red!
Do you notice a difference with the low CG tray?

I'll have to start going through their options for the next body!

Thanks! I have yet to try it out. It's been freezing here these past few days!

Dude. That looks killer! I agree on the SSD Brake rotors, they add a pretty cool scale detail, especially on black rims.

Thanks!

Are you guys talking about these? Will they fit in my current (Amazon) wheels? The description says any SLW compatible wheel will work, so I'm guessing it will be fine.

https://www.amainhobbies.com/ssd-rc-...hoCF0QQAvD_BwE

I also see these, but wouldn't these be rotational weight? I thought that was to be avoided?

I have the first ones linked. If it helps at all, I tired putting one on my RC4WD Wagon wheels and it fits, but with minor trimming on the wheel so it slides in all the way. Measure the center hole on your wheels and I値l measure the hubs to see if they値l fit.

I'm fairly sure they will fit the amazon wheels. As for rotational weight, crawling is slow enough to not cause any issues. I dont think I'd run them in a wraith or bomber, but a trail or crawler and you'll be fine. Just my .02

Maybe I should opt for the weighted ones then? I put wheel weights on my SCX24 and they worked well. I guess it will be down to the SSD brass rings, or wheel weights, or both lol.

I personally would get the weighted ones. I don稚 think you値l see the brake rotor behind those wheels since there痴 a lot of spokes on them. Even though the Brake rotor is 3x the size of the normal SSD hub, it weighs the exact same.

Yup get the brass rings. SSD has scale rotor hubs with different offsets too. I run the +6mm for the wider stance, but they have stock and +3mm options too.

I wish the scale rotors were brass. I like the 6mm offset, but wish they had some weight to them.

Thanks for the advice guys! I think i'll end up getting both. Probably the weighted disks for now and then the brass rings when I pick up a set of SSD's.

I just ordered a few more things, waiting for them to come in . Any recommendations on a simple LED system? I remember them being dirt cheap for my drift cars w/headlights, taillights, blinkers, reverse lights, even strobes. The "crawler" kits I see are like $80+! Anything you guys recommend that isn't so expensive? I'm just looking for warm white headlights, amber running lights (f+r) and red taillights. Blinkers and reverse lights would be great, but aren't a must for me.

The cheapest way I have found is the RC4WD basic light kits for there hardbodies. They have white, amber and red for ~$17. And if there is too many LEDs, just simply cut one off and cover with heat shrink. If you really want brake/reverse lights, you can get a wiring harness to plug into the throttle channel from HeyOk for ~$30. HeyOk also has a splitter for blinkers, but not sure on price. a lot of lighting kits and lighting in general are overpriced IMO.

Or, you can go even cheaper with Chinese no name kits off eBay or Amazon, but me personally would rather go with a known name like RC4WD or HeyOk.

Thanks for the info! I went ahead and ordered a basic LED kit from Amain for $17, and it includes the rear light buckets!

I originally painted the inside of the headlight buckets silver. I did the same for the running lights tonight, and added some Tamiya Clear Orange acrylic paint to the lenses. I can't wait for the LED's to arrive...also waiting on a few other things .

Thanks! I'm just waiting for the LED's to come in and I'll put the grille back in.

My narrow inner fender set also arrived! I absolutely love it! I was originally against getting inner fenders because I thought they would rub. These seem to leave plenty of room and make the XJ body look 10x better!

Thanks Benp!

My LED's finally came in! I ordered the XJ OEM light kit from Powershift RC. For some reason, it's not working. From the way it looks, it seems like I just have to plug the lights into the receiver and it should work. But they are not turning on when I plug them into the receiver. Am I missing something? Please help, need some advice! Thanks!

This is what I ordered...

Looks like they want 12 volts. That's what the booster is for. Plugging into the receiver (stock) only gets you 6 volts.
