Spur gear Pros and cons of the HR steel spur gear. |

Re: Spur gear More expensive. |
Re: Spur gear Removes a relatively cheap and easy-to-fix point of failure which helps protect the rest of your drivetrain. Can’t really think of any pros. If one is roasting through plastic spur gears in a crawler or trail truck to the point of needing a metal replacement then there are likely problems somewhere else in the drivetrain or with gear mesh. |
Re: Spur gear I'm actually ditching the steel spur gear in my wroncho for a stock plastic spur and a slipper Eliminator. Like Topher said, I want a cheap point of failure. Right now I really don't have one Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk |
Re: Spur gear It’s pretty noisy but not too bad. I had no issues performance wise with it. I switched back to traxxas spur and it quieted down. |
Re: Spur gear Looks like I’m sticking with the stock plastic. |
