TRX4 Sport Creep Build | The dremel has been busy ~ I've had this sport for 2 years and this will be the 4th body for it. Wanted something that would make it more capable on the rocks and decided on the Jcon Creep. I knew it wouldn't just fit so before the body got here I went to work stripping the chassis down. https://i.imgur.com/tN2RHhL.jpg I cut down the running boards but didn't remove them so I could still have places to mount electronics. Also trimmed the frame rails front and rear to tuck in tight. https://i.imgur.com/WGaJizU.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Nv2p8XI.jpg I spent a lot of time studying other Creep builds and I knew I didn't want to cut the bed to clear the shocks and I didn't want the body riding high so I removed the rear shock towers completely. https://i.imgur.com/SeMToHa.jpg Figuring out the rear body post probably took me the longest. :ror: https://i.imgur.com/YhJM8zu.jpg The truck is overall a lot smaller now which makes it much more capable on the rocks. https://i.imgur.com/r3R8JSe.jpg |

That's just a scrap piece of plastic cut to fit and wrapped in gorilla tape. |
Re: TRX4 Sport Creep Build | The dremel has been busy ~ Checking the fit, ready for paint https://i.imgur.com/KvdzRZ2.jpg Went with Tamiya cobalt. I wanted pearl white but it's backordered. https://i.imgur.com/cgcqw0z.jpg Scuffing up the bed https://i.imgur.com/dm8OjK4.jpg |
Re: TRX4 Sport Creep Build | The dremel has been busy ~ and the end result. Working OT today so I went out in the rain last night to grab some pics. https://i.imgur.com/3vXwqnx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pCdEADv.jpg https://i.imgur.com/35jvDly.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PBqoebN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/aPfG6za.jpg Love the way this thing turned out! So far it seems to do everything better. We have a big meet/comp on Sunday so I'll find out for sure. "thumbsup" |
Re: TRX4 Sport Creep Build | The dremel has been busy ~ I like how it turned out. I never realized how compact this body was until seeing it wrapped around a trx4. |

Re: TRX4 Sport Creep Build | The dremel has been busy ~ I like seeing the X4 chassis with the battery relocated. It opens it up nicely. Great mods, she looks ready to be challenged |

Re: TRX4 Sport Creep Build | The dremel has been busy ~ Took the Sport Creep out to a meet yesterday and it did great! Had a friendly little battle with my buddy driving an SCX10 II. https://youtu.be/wMtHk4DL-KM |
Re: TRX4 Sport Creep Build | The dremel has been busy ~ Just switched up my rear shock position a little to lower the rear end but still fit under the Creep body. Drilled a new hole and threw the shock keys back on. https://i.imgur.com/yGFMZgV.jpg?1 |
