Leaf springs

So...I've been wanting a trx4 since they were released. Kept putting it off mainly because of the fact I have like TWENTY rc vehicles 😂 Bit just recently I got a buddy at work to buy a Slash and after seeing my scx10 he just sent me a picture of the trx4 Sport he just went and bought last night. Now I talked my cousin who we grew up running rc cars together to buy the trx4 Blazer (hes a huge chevy guy, and had a 1982 blazer when we got our license) SO NOW IM LEFT OUT 😥
But my question is, is there a company making a leaf spring conversion? Or a DIY thread for adding leaf springs?
I really want the rear only to be leaf sprung because a Ford bronco is leafs out back. Cant be "realistic" with coil overs out back in my opinion

Portal axles on a leaf sprung rig would be even weirder to me

There is a conversion for the scx 10.2 if you have one. I haven't seen one for the trx though.

Doesn't the year that body represents have the TTB front end with coils? I'd rather run portals at that point. You're pretty far from accurate with the AR44 setup.

If you dont want portals you can also do the SSD portal delete. Both of those arent the cheapest mods though.

Nope, 79 and older Broncos had solid axle dana44 up front and ford 9" rear axles

Re: Leaf springs

Wouldn't axle wrap be a major problem with leafs on portals?

Re: Leaf springs

Yeah leafs and portals seem like opposite directions in performance.

Like trying to make a bolt action into a full auto lol

But yeah early bronco had front solid axles but they had radius arms, not typical rc 3 link with panhard.

If you REALLY want an accurate early bronco, check out the guys at GCM Racing.

*oh man they don't make that kit anymore?! Bummer!!!
