Default TRX-4 Jeep Cherokee

Wanted to go with something different than all the Broncos that are turning up. Bought a kit and started building it up. Needed to shave the inner fenders to get the body to drop on. Swapped out the bumper for a RC4WD bumper and Axial roof rack with KC Light bar.

I bought a kit so I could build my way I heard to many bad stories from the LHS on missing grease and sloppy RTRs. Plus I had no need for the Traxxas bodies on RTRs. During my build I removed the seals off all the bearings to clean them out and repack them grease I figured it wouldn't hurt since its a crawler and not a race truck.

Couldn't wait to get working on them I really like the Knights Customs parts they fit perfectly together the rear tail lights will look so much better than the Axial decals

Also needed to cut and reshape the rear bumper mount to get the Axial bumper work I also added LED backup lights in the bumper that I have wired to the motor (+wire and negative motor and -wire to positive motor) this way when I back up the bumper lights light the way

The wires are ran down the side of the battery box
I hate seeing sloppy messy wire jobs so I have tried to keep it clean and simple

Getting ready to put in some LEDs in the headlights my problem is not sure which ones:
the warm white color that looks like normal headlights....or....
the bright white that has the blue tint to them
I do know you get LED headlights kits for the 1:1 XJ so going bright would be still true
I also will be running a light bar with the bright white tint so I am leaning towards the bright white I have both as LHS stocks both so I picked up some its an awesome LHS they carry just about everything
Looking for some input for everyone

Looking darn good. Was waiting for your input on the fenders if they needed a little shave or not.

Just my .02

If your going for as period and as Scale as you can, then warm white.

IMO warm white does not show to well on vids during the day and blows donkey nuts at night. Like you said modernize it with and LED upgrade aka bright as Can be. Not blinding but BRIGHT.

Thanks for the great comments

as for the fenders I will just leave them as is that is how I am used to see fenders around here in my parts. they crack down hard with tires not having flares over them here. your 1:1 XJ would be pulled over and ticket given out. i do like the look of the shaved fenders though. i got nailed for not having light covers on my Hella lights on my EVO but the truck next to me with lightbar got nothing
any ideas on headlights

These are warm white 3000kv and look pretty darn good during the day. And not half bad at night.

i agree the with you on the warm sucking at night
my thoughts are if you have upgraded rig for off road then light system would be upgraded also you need to see right
that's what is so fun about this you have choices that are not going to break the bank
