Default TRX6 bumper options?

Even just driving the TRX6 around our back garden, those huge front and rear bumpers catch on everything.

I'm fully up for a bit of body trimming but can anyone recommend decent bumpers to improve the approach angles (front and rear)?

I was thinking this might work:

RC4WD TF2 Z-X0053

https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-Type-B...F2_p_7085.html

Orrrrrrrr, abandon the Mall Crawler look entirely and spend a bit more on a full Unimog conversion....

Yeah, probably the latter....

I got the Vanquish Vs410 bumpers for my Sport.

Inexpensive option that does very well. I think 14 bucks or so for the pair.

I flipped both bumper mounts so I had trimming to do. Quite a bit in the rear.

For the majority of rocks the front is just bump and glide. I’m very happy with how they perform.

Yeah, I use those VS410 bumpers on my Element Enduro Sendero. They are very good.

Out of curiosity, which bumper mounts did you use to mount the VS410 bumpers? I'm guessing the stock onse on the TRX4 won't work (I believe they are square hole).

Thanks.

Thanks.

The stock bumper mounts and fasteners worked just fine. Zero issues or modding.

I have a G500 but the bumpers are the same. Got a front bumper from Injora

Made a huge difference with the approach angle

Totally followed the advice above and bought a set of the Vanquish bumpers. I also had to get a set of the TRX4 bumper mounts (since the TRX6 uses an integrated bumper/mount setup). Given the 'high end' status of Vanquish trucks, the bumpers are crazy cheap at only £14 delivered for the pair.

The front went on really easily with the back requiring a bit more fettling. Ultimately I drilled new holes in the chassis rails and dremmeled a bit of plastic out of the mount so I could bring it further in-board to get the bumper tucked under the bodywork. After that a bit of tasteful trimming on the bodywork and I have a result I'm pretty happy with (though I do need to do a bit more sanding of the rough cut edges):

Looks great. Really nice trim job on the wheel arches too. I may copy that.

BTW, classic question, what wheels and tyres are those? They look really good.

Couple more pics on the install and final product:

Front was trivial:

Rear required the TRX4 stock bumper mount to be slid far further in-board. This needed a bit of light 'dremmeling' and mounting holes drilled in the chassis rails to accomodate it's new position:

Final product out and about:

Cheers
