Here's a lil preview of the track layout for round#4 of racing out at Glen Helen RC Raceway this Sunday.

There is a section of new track added to the first loop up the hillside. It includes a climbing obstacle and a downhill jump! The 1.9 & 2.2 Competitor classes should expect to see this extra obstacle during their racing day.

is there anyway you could record the races and post them up? i'm very interested but i'm in san diego. so the drive would a pain. I have an AX10 4 linked with stock drive train and a gmade R1 but those don't come with a motor set up, lightly modded with skid plate to fix the triangulation issues and aluminum outers in the front cause the plastic is weak. What classes would these qualify for.

There will be video up soon. Some from my phone and some that will likely come later after editing. Without more info flatblack51 Id say AX10 in 1.9 trail as long as it has a "scale" body, and the R1 in 2.2 competitor or 1.9 competitor if you change tires.

So what did everyone think of the track layout.

That was a great time, thanks to all who put this all on, Dave & Suzy for the sandwiches, the course was definitely a challenge and kept you on your toes....if you don't pay attention then bang your at the bottom or custom bending servo horns....

Or maybe it's bang smash bang??? No? I felt that the drop-off's were a little steep, but once you control the decent it was manageable. Anyways at least we landed in soft sand for the most part.

Almost had the 1.9 Trail, had dueling Honchos for first, then I lost the ring land on number 7 cylinder (broken brush) and DNF.....oh well, great times!!!

At least my Wraith stayed together......

Thanks Derek. We have already decided to address the ski jump before the next race. It is supposed to be a small (as in about 6") jump angled down the hill. What it ended up being was a 2 foot cliff angled up.

What about some more open desert lanes like the one at the start? Drivers will use them every lap, not just once.

I'd love more desert lanes. Really open it up a bit

LOL about the "ski jump"...

Yeah desert lanes wouldn't hurt, just so that it would make it more friendly to pass slower rigs, and still give them room to run.

Pass em' without contact.....

My first time at an event like this and I had a great time. The slab section at the top was a real bear. Seems like there is only 1 line that works for the 2.2 wheel base cars. Maybe do some thing to create another line or smaller chunks of slab.
