Is everyone ok with the rules the way they are? Is there anything that is confusing or needs attention? Just having a hard time believing we got it right the first time. |

In my opinion maybe there should be a stock competitor class for stock twin hammer time vehicles. Thoughts!

One problem with a box stock or as we call it a "spec" class is, where do you draw the line on what is "stock"? If you change tires it is no longer stock, but that could be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on the tire chosen. Another problem is having enough box stock rigs to fill a class. Personally, I'd rather say "I beat 4 guys with modded rigs, with my box stock rig," then race against only one or two guys, if even that, in a spec class. We would need a minimum of 4 rigs to create another class of any type. We have been asked to start a Powder Puff class, same deal, if it happens we will do what the drivers want.

Ok cool. As long as I know I have a fighting chance against the mod trucks then I'm in.

A drivers skill is way more important as it usually is. Round 1 I ran against Scott Hughes. He not only beat my HIGHLY modded TH with his stock (minus a 20t motor and the small Proline 1.9 swampers), he lapped me in the heat and in the main. If you are reading this Scott, don't expect that to happen again. |

| Re: U4RC Rock Racing Series info and update thread. For 2.2 or 1.9 class? We talked about allowing rigs to move up in class but not down, time and participation allowing. IE: a 1.9 trail rig in both 1.9 trail and 1.9 comp in an effort to give drivers the option of more racing without having rigs for more than one class. If we happen to get twice the crowd, then this would not be an option. Anyone have opinions on that idea? The exception would be Trophy 2.2, that will be a stand alone class. You either meet the specs for that class or not. |

Well this sucks!! My exo with 2.2 wheels and tires won't make the rules. Shit even with SC wheels and tires it barely makes the 12.5 and even the 1.9's on it, its at 13'' We'll that was fun while it lasted I guess it goes back on the shelf.

Easy Mike this is a discussion thread, nothing is etched in stone. Can you please post a pic of your rig with the 2.2's and give us the exact width? No wideners right?

| Re: U4RC Rock Racing Series info and update thread. So "technically" there should be no 2.2 class at all.

BUT....if you guys are going to let it run I need to know asap, because I'm going to stop working on it right now if it can't run. My 1.9s are right at 13'' and I know the 2.2 are going to be a tad wider. |

Rules can always be amended, and if we see fit in the future we may seperate classes differently. Quote:
The EXO would be unproportionally wide with most standard 2.2 rims. So we allowed SCT rims for the 2.2 Competitor class. Like Brian said, post up some info and we will definitley address the width rule if possible. Thanks for the input to the thread, you may be asking questions that are also helpful to others.

In my opinion....those rules/classes sound reasonable/compettitive, and as with real racing while trying to conform to the rules try to exploit them....meaning find the tallest tire manufactured in the class to exploit that rule...or buy a 4-pole motor instead of a 2 or 3 pole for more torque. Stay within the rules just figure out the best tire, motor, esc, servo, whatever is required to win... Seems like the new system is the Wrexo.... Because if you start to win races cuz you have brushless, instead of brushed....(my case...), or whatever the case may be, then you can "cheat" within the rules and bring home trophies! Good Luck! See you on the 21st with the new setup.... |

The rules are fine and will evolve as this new sport grows, changes will be needed, who can figure it all out and make everything or everybody happy at once. People will complain and bitch no matter what, even if they haven't tried it yet, and that's just there negative bs personality.

Nobody will be turned away as long as it is not a "track" car, like a 4wd sc truck. This is scale desert rock racing. |
