So I am building a truck, plan is to use a bunch of old 1/8 buggy stuff I have. Igs buggy front end to stock center diff. Use the stock chassis but trim down the sides and cutoff the back. Install link and tube chassis mounts... Wraith rear attched to the links and tube upper chassis.

Question is, is this legal? If so what class?

Also on wheels, the rules don't really spell out what's legal the day I read it. I was hoping to use the stock 17mm hexes, but there is no way to make those work with a vp wheel, I was gonna fav some type 3 piece wheel out of an older buggy wheel.

Thanks

What you are describing could fit in either 2.2 Trophy or 2.2 comp. If you can make a 2.2 wheel tire combo fit you could go trophy, if you must use a 2.2/3.0 wheel it would have to go into 2.2 comp. 1/8th buggy wheels are illegal in all classes.

My idea for the wheel was to make 3 piece by cutting the hex mount area from a dish wheel, then make bedlocks for it...

Still a bit confused on what 2.2 wheels are legal and what are not.

As long as it is a 2.2 wheel with a scale 2.2 tire and not just a solid dish wheel you should be good.

DE racing make a 2.2/3.0 wheel with a 17mm hex for the sc8 , its not a beadlock so you'll still have to glue tires on

These rules will stay thru the 2013-2014 Winter Series. Hope this info helps...

Is the rule on "no motor limitation" still current for 2014 and for future 2015 races. thx

Yes it is. In our opinion a given car can only be so fast around a track based on things like suspension and CG. We have seen more people change from say, a 4600 on 3s, to 3000 on 3s and be faster than before.

Newb question for this type of racing....I have a Traxxas Telluride I'm going to build...was just going to be a toy but wondering if it even has the possibility of being competitive in the 2.2 comp class???

That's a good question.

To date we have not heard of anyone running a Telluride at U4RC races. As long as the rig specs meet the class requirements I would give it a shot.

Sorry for the delayed reply, have been super swamped for the holidays.

We are in the process of building a U4RC track here in VA.
Im looking for info on rules and regulations.
Every time I click the link for the rules it comes up blank?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Looks like the page background and the text on it are the same color so the rules are actually there just coded white.
If you scrape that whole page the rules will be hi-lighted.
Kinda sucks but maybe you can just cut-n-paste them into your favorite editor on your personal confuser.

Gonna need that decoder ring after all. I can't for the life if me get the rules to be legible.
Can some one please fix the posting so the rules can be read?
Thanks!

Try this...
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing

I scraped it + copied + pasted into Google Docs.
I didn't do any editing so there is probably some formatting issues from the original.

Also if the U4RC website needs a new webmaster then hit me up!

**RULES UPDATE***

There is a new rule set as of 8/1/2015. No existing class rigs were made illegal, just possibly moved to a different class for competitiveness.
