| Format questions.
We have a few people in the area building rigs right now and are looking to get a couple of tracks set up as well. We are going to be following the U4RC rules , but loosely at first, just to make it easier to get started. We are in the Lake County/Mendocino county area and will be trying to have some gtg's soon. There's some interest in running the races in bracket format, like a drag race. Has anybody tried this and if so how'd it work? |

no we have not. Main reason being our drivers want drive time for the most part. If a driver transfers in a heat, it is their option to run the next heat and not be scored. Often, racers do that. In a bracket format 1/2 of the field is eliminated in the first round. That is, if I understand the question right.

another way, if you have low #'s, say 10 or less. run it motocross style: 3 motos, low point wins. everybody gets plenty of track time... |

Thanks for the replies. Ya, I'm tracking on the drive time. We'll have to try a few different formats to appease everyone. When we get the rigs up and running and somewhat reliable I'd like to hit up some of the other courses and see how it's done. |
