| Re: norcal U4 round 1 opening day Thanks Dan. I have wanted to try one of these races since they started. Timing just hasn't worked out. I think Ill be able to make this one. So, we're gonna be running transponders? 3 heats and a main type format? |

If we run the same format up there that we do at Glen Helen, it will go like this: Heat Formats: We will run between 1-3 heats depending on car count, LCQ, A Main, and B Main. There will be 8 cars that make it to the final. If there are not enough cars in the class, all cars transfer. You will be racing for start positions throughout your heats for the mains . Rounds and LCQ will be 8 minutes (subject to change because of weather). On very hot days round times could drop to 6 minutes. Finals will be 10 minutes except for 1.9 competitor. The Break down is as follows: 4-6 cars: All transfer to main With 8 cars there could be 1 heat of 8 and the top 4 transfer and 4 cars left for LCQ and 2 will transfer. 8 cars: 10 cars: 2 heats of 4 2 heats of 5 2 transfer 3 transfer LCQ 4 cars LCQ 4 cars 2 transfer 2 transfer 6 car Main 8 car Main 12 cars: 14 cars: 2 heats of 6 2 heats of 7 3 transfer 3 transfer LCQ 6 cars LCQ 8 cars 2 transfer 2 transfer 8 car Main 8 car Main 16 Cars: 18 Cars: 2 heats of 8 3 heats of 6 3 transfer 2 transfer 2 LCQ heats of 6 2 LCQ heats of 6 1 transfer per LCQ heat 1 transfer per LCQ heat 8 car Main 8 car Main 20 cars: 4 heats of 5 1 transfer 3 LCQ heats of 5,5,6 1 transfer per LCQ heat 7 car Main. |

It didn't transfer over there should be a split between them. 8 cars 10 cars so on.

| norcal U4 round 1 opening day
Looking forward to giving u4 racing a try soon here. Can't make it this weekend but will be looking for another opportunity one of these next few weeks here. Quick question, for all classes are people using just 2s or 3s. When I used to race sct I remember you could not use more then 2s power, does that same rule apply here to U4 racing? |
