Question Loose dirt Indiana U4RC track

this pic is dated and the leaves are gone...timbers cleanup...and im thinking about a U4RC track for all the wraith and twinhammers drivers...

what are some key things to toss into the track?

*multiple lines (longer faster some shorter with rocks)

*a few jumps

*loose dirt hill climbs

what else can i add to make it fun?

Thanks guys!

off camber turns
banked turns
increasing/decreasing radii turns
as much elevation change as you can muster (backhoe )
an over/under ?
much roughness

thanks! the pic doesnt do it justice...that hill is about 7 ft....taller than my 5"10 self anyway lol

we've got a front loader tractor...some good size rocks...theres an 1/8 scale buggy track builder that can give me some tips on jump distances...i want

fast-slow technical sections at random....

ill have fun making this....i think it'll be a great transition for new drivers coming from racing...

im doing research right now looking at tracks being made...this seems like a upcoming popular form of crawling

this weekend cant come soon enough!

how about, why don't you treat this like everybody does their car builds ?
a track build thread, if you may.
it might spawn ideas in others to build theirs.
hopefully my peeps in az will get sparked...

rock racing, imho, is to much fun

tons of fun!

Pics do it NO justice!

South Bend I'm guessing... I'll be passing through there in a couple weeks on my way from Chicago to Ohio.
We go to NW IN for comps... South Bend wouldn't be thaaaaaat much farther.

Great effort on the track!.... I have a suggestion to help make your lanes more visible. We use "field marking/line chalk" at Glen Helen to help discern the lanes. It's cheap, $6 for a 50lb bag and isn't permanent in case you want to re-arrange track in the future. You can find it a your local concrete/aggregate builders yard. Just get creative and fab up a hand dispenser....

I was wondering how wide and narrow the lanes get...mine arent super wide...in some spots maybe 2 ft...in others 4 ft...is that fine?

Make it as wide as you can. There are spots at Glen Helen that are narrow, but that's because it has to be that way with our current layout. Terrain is going to dictate some of that.
