Default Legal bending?

I see alot of comp rigs with bodies folded under at the bottom. Is the 3" 2.2 class rule measured as the body is pulled out flat, or the result of the folded position?

No, I'm talking about the measurement from the top of the cab to the bottom of the rockers.

To my knowledge the fold counts. So from where it ends under the chassis on out.....not from the fold up.

Take the body off and set it on a table.. is it 3" tall?

If it is folded and only measures 2". you better unfold an inch.

It's like TC says. lay it on a table and it should be 3" tall.

Now Kenny go fix your body.

Can it sit upside down on a table or does it have to be right side up?

great question, I noticed some drivers doing this to their rigs in our local club. Which means they don't pass tech if its not 3". Now I can see if our club will allow this or not. Thanks Pappy

I'm a folder. Sitting right side up, the weight of the body could make it illegal. Upside down, the bends are unaffected.

Well to be honest ,I 've never had anybody at a tech table tell me to take my body off and set it on the table. Seeing your pic the fold isn't a flat fold and I would measure it from the bottom of your fold to the roof.

So Kenny if this is what your talking about, you still have great knowledge.

Well said, and also correct.

3" to be legal, fix it before you start the course or DNS the course, i.e. you get a 50. Period.
