| Gates and Course Hazards
If a driver runs over a stick, and that stick gets kicked up and moves the gate what is the proper ruling?

no gate penalty for the stick or rock or any other object on course moved by truck and striking gate. The gate should be replaced in proper position as soon as possible, if the gate is moved by the stick and vehicle drives over the place where the gate was originally placed before it is replaced a gate penalty is then assessed.

Our club and how I read the rules, the truck must touch the gate. If the gate is moved sometimes if we can we will stop the clock and replace, other times if the same object will hit it we will watch the chalk line as the gate.

NP, this happened to someone I was judging and I didn't know the right answer so I didn't giving him any points for it.
