need info about this place, want to go and visit, wondering if there is anything to do? Wife wants to go, I know I can crawl all over, but need to take the family some places too? also, is the cost of living and working there high? resort-ish? or is a affordable place to live? Mom and Dad are looking for a retirement home, just trying to help. thanks Moger- |

st george is one of the fastest growing cities in utah. it is also a very common place to see people move to when they retire! there is plenty to do down there. it's a big city there are outlet malls and plenty of places to ride atv's and there are a couple resevoirs nearby also! mesquite nevada is only 45 minutes away also! |

I live out here and love it. If you want my old man is one of the best realtors out on this area and he can set you up with all the info you want for the areas. I love it out here there is so little crime out here we are all ways in the top 10 safest places to live as far as crime goes. and there are lakes every were out here 2 awesome ones within 15 min. of my house. The best terrain for crawling and atv dreams out here. ]In hurricane atv's drive all over the roads legaly. Zions and so many other parks and place's to enjoy out here I am just pure spoiled when it comes to RCRC and just the outdoors because I can rockcrawl year round in relativly gorgous weather. Las Vegas 1.5 hours away 2hours if you only go 75 mph or less I am the lone RCRC hobbiest out here so if you come out here hit me up and we can go crawl the red rock.

Other than a few really hot weeks in the summer its a good palce to retire in my opinion. I like the Hurrican area maybe a little more. Its off the road a bit more and a little smaller. Plenty of off roading and recreation and a realy nice place. The housing market in Utah is starting to drop right now and should level out in the next six months so I would wait to buy for a bit. Cost of living is not bad a little higher than alot of places but over all I would say is average.
