| The first snow crawling of the season!
Just in case the long, hot summer made you forget what it looks like...that is indeed snow in the pics. The location is Cecret Lake, which is in the Albion Basin area of Little Cottonwood Canyon. It was below freezing by the time we got back to the parking lot (it's about a half mile hike to the lake). One little detail about the location...for those of you who are into skiing and snowboarding in a big way...this lake is actually in the middle of Alta Ski Resort. If you hike up to those mountains you can see down to Snowbird. Not to brag, but those are two of the best resorts in North America, and they're less than 45 minutes from my driveway! Man I love Utah. |

Sweet pics! you are going to make me cry!! My Wyoming trip fell through this year and had big plans to spend a good 2 days up in the bighorns crawling......
