Couldn't wait to get home from work today. Knowing what was waiting for me when I got home. Thought about playing sick but stuck it out. Got home as fast as I could and found a nice box on the porch. Almost cut me finger opening it up so fast but it was worth it. Let the building begin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So no fancy packaging this time but that is ok. Everything is neatly packaged and the bags are nicely labeled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As cool as the fancy packaging was atleast on my clear set the top of the box left black marks on some of the clear anodized parts. I prefer them in the bags.

Thanks B Hopefully I will be able to start some work tonight. Waiting on some grease and oring lube for VRP. I am trying these 2 products for the first time. The grease I am not so much bothered by but the shock lube has me worried I have used the Avid Racing Shock Slop for a couple years now and is awesome stuff. Hell if it was good enough for the great BK figured it was good enough for me. I used to use the AE green slim till I discovered the Avid Shock Slop. Hopefully I won't be let down with VRP products. Fingers crossed.

I am fine with the bags also. Every other kit I have built since 1993 was that way. If it's not broke don't fix it. That sucks that your parts had black marks on them.

I know that in early on pictures of the VFD people were asking if a 550 motor would fit. I decided to open the bag to find out. As you can see the 550 is a no go. The motor plate is very thick and is pushing the motor back. Now if the plate were thinner where the motor sits it would work with no problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think it's going to be a mild build nothing fancy but some things are definitely getting changed like the body for one and possibly the axles. Keep your eyes open as they could be in the for sale section very soon

This is the course I am going to take with this build. The body is going to need a slight trim here and there to fit the new bumpers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
