Just finished assembling the chassis over the weekend. I've decided on using a different body, the LC70. This presents some extra fab work to be done since the bumpers now sits lower and sliders too wide. I will fab up a bumper with fairlead also new narrower sliders. Still not decided on mounting a warn winch insider the chassis or going with a servo winch. also the shock towers are static, so i may be replacing the rear soon... will see. electronics installed are Hobbywing AXE540 2300kv combo, Savox 1210sg servo, sanwa reciever... all waterproof. Powered by 3S 1800mah and 2200mah lipo's. Tires are Boomracing Hustler's snail slime compound. Thanks for looking! |

just some updates... changed the rear shock mounts, used a flat aluminum bar and drilled it so i can relocate the shocks towards the inside adding more angle to it. removed the heavy machined bumpers and decided to just DIY (again) a bracket to hold an scx10 front bumper mount. this allows me to raise the bumper closer to my basher LC70 front grill area. the bumper is made from aluminum rods (i think 6mm diameter) braized together. i like how it runs, feels very capable. hopefully tomorrow i can go to the park and do some trailing with friends. here is a test video i made earlier today... https://youtu.be/oe7N-tKp5E0 thanks for viewing! |

Nice! I "Like" how the LC70 body looks on there. Looks like it fits into the rock sliders good. If you don't mind me asking, who makes the LC70 body?

decided to paint th lc70 cherry red, just for kicks and i even gave it the name blossom. the plan was to really make it bad arsed, it was supposed to be the background color for a really nice livery but i got so lazy just thinking of all the masking i would be doing for a basher body. i didn't know if the sporty stripe would work... i'd like to think it does. soo, I will be painting the stripes and it will have #4 (reverse) on it to signify this as the 4th class 2 rig i built (scx10.1 and 2 scx10.2's). thanks for viewing! |

Nice pics! I like how low the body sits on there. Stripes look good also. Which interior did you go with? Looks like it fits really well. |

I've always wondered about those lexan LC70 bodies. How is the quality on those?

@soze the quality is not bad specially for the price, you can just toss them out if they fall apart hehehe. I'm not saying that its easy to wreck, i had 3 of these already, my 2nd one is the longest i have used and it has seen a lot of abuse over the past months. I think the worst part of the body is the area between the rear of the cab and the bed floor (just below the rear window), the lexan is so thin that i have punched a hole in those corners just by sticking double sided tape, the other sections have no issues. ________ finally got my 2.2 wheels and mounted my old proline swampers... i love the way it looks on the truck (sorry no photo of it yet). hopefully it performs well on Sunday during our comp. here are the wheels side by side, 1.9's on the left and 2.2's on the right... hope i can shoot a decent video of the comp... wish me luck Thanks for viewing! this is a nice rig... cleared all the 10 gates in a sorcca type comp, unfortunately took my sweat time learning to drive this heavy rig and took 3rd. the wheels was planted that i never tumbled on the course, i love it! btw, i had to replace the shocks yesterday. one of the rear incision shocks leaked due to the lower cap unscruwing (for some reason unknown). used my Proline Powerstrokes, it performans 1 million times better with its dual spring rates... stiffer rear and softer front. thanks for viewing!
