Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO Couldn't wait to get home from work today. Knowing what was waiting for me when I got home. Thought about playing sick but stuck it out. Got home as fast as I could and found a nice box on the porch. Almost cut me finger opening it up so fast but it was worth it. Let the building begin. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...03f3b3ce48.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO So no fancy packaging this time but that is ok. Everything is neatly packaged and the bags are nicely labeled. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ed157b2982.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...89dc14eb1e.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO Looks sweet! I’m jealous. Mine won’t arrive until Monday. I’ll be following along. Looking forward to watching your build! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO As cool as the fancy packaging was atleast on my clear set the top of the box left black marks on some of the clear anodized parts. I prefer them in the bags. |

Thanks B "thumbsup" Hopefully I will be able to start some work tonight. Waiting on some grease and oring lube for VRP. I am trying these 2 products for the first time. The grease I am not so much bothered by but the shock lube has me worried  I have used the Avid Racing Shock Slop for a couple years now and is awesome stuff. Hell if it was good enough for the great BK figured it was good enough for me. I used to use the AE green slim till I discovered the Avid Shock Slop. Hopefully I won't be let down with VRP products. Fingers crossed. |

I am fine with the bags also. Every other kit I have built since 1993 was that way. If it's not broke don't fix it. That sucks that your parts had black marks on them. |

Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO I know that in early on pictures of the VFD people were asking if a 550 motor would fit. I decided to open the bag to find out. As you can see the 550 is a no go. The motor plate is very thick and is pushing the motor back. Now if the plate were thinner where the motor sits it would work with no problem. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac23c6f53a.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO Glad you finally got this! It's about time! Is it built yet? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: can't wait to see what you do with it! "thumbsup" |

I think it's going to be a mild build nothing fancy but some things are definitely getting changed like the body for one and possibly the axles. Keep your eyes open as they could be in the for sale section very soon |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO This is the course I am going to take with this build. The body is going to need a slight trim here and there to fit the new bumpers https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e521b622d1.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO All the new bracing looks awesome The chassis is very rigid https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5b78577701.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If your not going to use your body, I would be interested in it. "thumbsup" Ernie |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO Do you have a side by side of new vs old body? |
Re: Carpetfuzz's VS4-10 PRO Ooooh so pretty! |
