While the pic of the 1:1 rig you wanted to replicate brought to (my) mind an '80s version of the P*ssy Wagon from "Kill Bill", your interpretation is flawless... |

Ok, this truck is amazing. It is very stable, quiet and smooth! Also, shoutout to RC4WD for proving foams in their tires that actually work and don’t require replacement. This thing side hills great, the tires conform but don’t completely fold over, and overall the truck feels very stable. I only put 30wt oil in the shocks so they are quite loose which I prefer. The truck is pretty heavy so when driving on rough terrain the suspension soaks up all the little bumps with ease. Very, very happy with this thing! |

Any noticeable torque twist on this rig? Would be great to see a video on steep hill climb. Thank you

As much as I liked the new Vanquish 101’s that I had on this truck, I felt it needed something a little more “retro” looking to go with the paint scheme. Enter Locked Up RC’s Heritage wheels. Definitely suits the truck a little better, giving it the classic look that I wanted to help make it unique and set it apart a bit. |

I did like the VP 101's, but those LURC's look great on there! They go great with the retro theme. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

That's awesome! Nice build! How's the black anodizing holding up. I'd cry after driving that on the rocks. LOL |

The wheels are spot on and really add to the look. There is only 1 Vanquish wheel that would have fit this build and unfortunately it only comes in 2.2. |

Thanks! I agree, those would have been great as well in a 1.9. I've seen the 2.2's on the Origin and it is definitely not for me.

Loving this truck. Took it out for a rip today and was very impressed! Except for my Locked Up ring hardware coming loose. I lost my HD tool and need to order a new one. Their standard tools suck and don’t allow you to tighten the hardware enough. I changed the tires over to the KM3’s in predator compound halfway thru and I definitely liked them better than the Goodyear’s in both looks and performance. |

Great pics! I have to agree, I like the looks of the KM3's also. I've never been a big fan of skinny tires. If the Goodyear's were a bit wider I think the would look better. But I do like the wheels they are mounted on! |

I know I already commented, but the more I look at this truck the more I love the paint scheme. I think TSLs would look great on this build since they have been around forever and look old school. We're those the 4.7" or 4.75" MT/R tires? So odd that I have to ask that. I was leaning towards picking up a set of the large MT/R's. What did you not like about the performance? |

The 4.7” MT/R that was released a bit ago are quite a bit wider than the 4.75” ones so you might like those! I agree on the LURC wheels. The KM3 will be mounted on those once I get my HD tool for the beadlocks. Quote:
Thanks man. I considered TSL’s but I really like the KM3’s. I might switch at some point, who knows! I used the 4.75” MT/R because I prefered the look of a skinnier tire, and the lug spacing is greater on them. The 4.7” look more scale with the tighter spacing which is why I assume they made them. I wouldn’t say they performed badly by any means but I did find I was able to pull lines a little easier with the KM3. But as you know there’s a ton of factors including compounds, foam stiffness, and terrain in terms of what tire works for someone. I was running mostly on clay and river rock. The predator compound is really soft and the sidewalls on the KM3 are really soft compared to the MT/R which felt quite stiff. I wouldn’t hesitate to run the stock foams in the MT/R but I feel I need the Proline dual stage foams to support the KM3.
