The more I think about it, the more I'm unsure if I want to drill holes in these inner fenders and add a stress concentration point on such a fragile part. I'm thinking about installing the brace and mating it to the inner fenders using E6000.

E6000 is a good option.

I have to say though, once I mounted my alum brace to the front fenders, it stiffened them up. I added the two screws with washers and nuts on each side. I’ve beat on mine quite a bit and there is no sign of breakage.

I think the fenders are quite durable once secured tight. It’s just the bottom front mounting tabs that are weak.

Great point about the washers!

I finally had a chance to install the front and rear brace. They both fit like a glove.

On the rear brace, I countersunk the holes so that the screw would go from the inside with a nut and washer inside the inner fender.

In the rear, the body does fit a little tight, so I added some Gorilla Tape to the inside of the body so that the brace does not rub the paint off of the body.

Thanks again Dawg for sharing these brace files!

I redesigned the rear brace so that the arms were 1mm thinner and already countersunk. It looks like that was the old version. It's probably not worth changing at this point though.

I printed up the front brace and servo spacer. They work great! Thanks again, GA Dawg.

Will the rear brace work on a non Pro that doesn't have the fuel cell receiver box?

Yeah, it was the first version that you shared. The print turned out great and I didn't feel like reprinting it.

It does fit good and I like how the body sits down in the brace. It captures the body so that it doesn't move around. I'll find out how well it holds up once I get the Pro out on the rocks.

I like how it adds a little more depth to the fuel cell. I plan on moving my receiver and Castle B-Link back there to free up the top of the sliders.

No. I designed it to fit between the bottom and lid of the fuel cell. I don't have the original rear brace in my Origin, so I don't have any way to try and mock something up.

Thanks for the response. I figured it wouldn't fit the Limited, but I wanted to check before I designed my own.

The plastic front servo mount can fit in place of the rear chassis brace, you could probably install that and use the front brace on the rear.

Thought about it, but from what I read I thought it would interfere with the interior. I never tried because I struggled to get my printer to print one, good brace.
