Default The new Vs4-10 Phoenix portal

Well they’ve been teasing for a few days… but it’s finally here! I’m going to need to get my hands on one.

Just pre-ordered mine. This is the first Vanquish rig that I'm actually "excited" about. Not that I didn't like the origin/pro/ultra, because I do and I do own an Origin and Pro, but those didn't feel like I had to have one even though I got some eventually.

I really dig the plastic axles on this one and the body (I liked the Origin and Pro bodies as well). The fact that Knight Customs worked on this body just tells me there are going to be a lot of 3D printed goodies for this.

The kit is $499… and for that money you get a lot nice if a rig than say the trx4 that’s almost $600 rtr that you throw the electronics in the trash on anyways.

Right on man! Yea I think it’s a great addition to the market. I wanted to preorder one.. but I need to let the keys cool after building my pro and F9 Capra. Looking forward to seeing some of these pop up

So nice, such great timing. I have been unsure what or if I would be building something new this winter. Love seeing all the options built in to the kit. This is how a kit really should be put together. The selectable OD option is particularly killer. Thanks VP

Take my money

Ordered mine from Vanquish. Can't wait to start building it. I think it is a very good price for what you get and the quality of their products. I am not a super fan of portals but if they do not work for me I won't feel as bad replacing them as if they were metal housings.

Looks like a damn good buggy, I'm excited to see one in person.

There are quite a few new parts on this, large bore incision 80mm shocks, plastic drive shafts, plus the new transmission. I notice in the description the twin stick design will allow rear wheel drive only via the o/d selector.

I’m excited for it and only wish I had the money to order one now. Portals aren’t my favorite, but this truck makes more sense to have them compared to the ultra imo. Steering angle alone makes these axles more appealing to me.

This looks very interesting. Didn't realize the axle housings/knuckles were plastic at first and almost shat myself when I saw the price. Still not a bad price, it looks like a really cool trail rig for sure.

I like the looks of this, but I'm not big on portals. I wonder if the AR45 straight axles will slip under this relatively easily.

Oh yeah, u-joints on the front axles! So steering angle won't be limited by cvd's like on the Ultra.

Very cool to see a plastic axle from VP, I didnt think they're ever do one.

Once the straight axle version is out I'm gonna have a hard time not grabbing one. They did name this the Phoenix portal after all, I cant see them not doing a straight axle version.

I think the selectable 2wd/4wd will be pretty fun on a trail truck. I hope the new shocks are a big improvement, my Incision shocks leaked horribly and didn't feel like a good shock (too much stiction).

I wonder if the axle shafts will swap over to the Ultra axles? That would be nice.

RWD,.makes me chuckle.

So I guy could in theory run a combination of rear wheel drive and dig on his transmitter.

I ordered one for parts. Gonna keep the trans, shocks, and links at least. Found out dshafts are plastic after I ordered it, so that’s a bummer. Probably gonna sell off the rest of it.

Haha, right. Not exactly sure how that would play out.

I was actually intending to express having the option to use both features individually but on the same run. That said, I Cant really wrap my head around why one would want run rwd in a crawler simply beyond the pure challenge of it. Almost as a lark

That would be nice indeed. It sounds like these axles use the same portal gears, that's a good sign.
