Absolutely love these new shocks but was rather disappointed with the spring collar and lack of aftermarket springs. Little time in design and came up with some cups. Thoughts? Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk |

I think you did a nice job. The cups look great. Which springs are you using?

I'm looking to get better performance out of this truck so trying to fit some 90mm shocks on. RC TNT on youtube seems to have had good luck with 90mm. Problem for me is the set I have on now, stock Traxxas TRX 4 stock shock cause binding. I have to spin down the shock collars lower than I want to prevent them from rubbing the shock tower.

You could try a mini-t spring mod on the trx4 shocks. I think some people make 3D printed caps and buckets for that. I modded my stock Phoenix shocks with dlux zero preload spring buckets and the dlux springs fit the body of the shock perfect. Overall length after the change was about 84mm but I’m running them on a custom build. The same thing could work with the s8e 90mm’s though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |
