| The kids pro truggy build
Got everything I need to get started on my sons truggy build. He got the kit for his birthday and I’m going to take care of the rest and get him involved in the assembly. All but the fabrication part. Mom doesn’t like him around the welder and I like a happy wife lol. |

Finally got the kit together and started fitting the body and mocking up the truggy cage. You really have to trim the Mojave body to make it work with the suspension travel. I’m also a little scared of the weight but I’m committed to using rod. I don’t think I can Tig brake line and I know I can’t braze. I don’t really have a plan in mind I’m just kind of imagining it as I go. |

Made some more progress today. I’m not feeling the lines of the metal work but for my first attempt it seems to be going well. I’ll keep going until it’s finished but I already see a revised design coming soon. |

the lines look good different but good i would role with with it the front slope and the rear slope of the tube work make it look more like a buggie anyway |

Ok so the front ate at me enough I decided to change it up. I’m much happier and think it flows a lot better. I’ll trim the good cab to match not that it’s all done. For now I’m going to let the kid take it out and beat it up. |

Decided to change out the wheels and tires. The Thornbirds look good but they do not perform well. Could be drive that doesn’t perform well. New tires look better anyway. And he had a thing for Herby so we added some decals. Working on getting the VS4 interior to fit in the Mojave body. I’ll post. Ore pics once that happens. |

Yeah true rod is heavy, but you kept to a minimal design. Nice work!
