Default Hope I don't jinx myself...Ascender ship date Update 9/18

Ok guys, here we go.... Kits and all the replacement parts arrived late yesterday (Customs hold up). Due to them arriving late in the day our warehouse team could not get them received. Before these can be put into our warehouse, each parts needs to be "scanned/weighed" for our packaging system. It was just impossible to get everything done to ship today.

So here is the deal. Since we are shipping everything from our California warehouse Horizon has a policy of trying to make sure all the dealers get them around the same time.
Starting tomorrow, East coast shipments will start going out.
Tuesday West coast shipments go out.

It is what it is and I may have jumped the gun forgetting this policy.

Hope i don't get slammed, I know quite a few of you were excited for them to be shipped today, I've tried to pull every string I can but ultimately the above was the best we could do.

Hope you will go easy on the flaming and there is no conspiracy , the story above is exactly what is going on.

Thanks,
Rich

For what it's worth, here's a couple pics of some of the kits at the receiving dock.

Is there going to be some more parts availability by then as well? Looking on Horizon only has the diff and some wheels listed for it.

All replacement parts will be available at Horizion Hobby and dealers that order them.

Now fingers are crossed that I didn't just Jinx us.
So when is the Ford bodied Ascender going to be released?

With the V100 Ford officially licensed Mustang Bodies, surely you have plans for a Ford bodied Ascender for us Ford fans!

I will suggest a 78-86 Bronco, or 73-86 F-150. The 2004 or 2015/16 Bronco concept would be very cool also!

Keep up the good work Vaterra!

And if you guys have to do a Jeep body, please do a ZJ or WJ Grand Cherokee, all the JK Wranglers are getting old!

Thanks for putting yourself up front and being accessible for questions with this new rig. This is one huge difference between Losi/Vanterra and Axial that I think everyone appreciates.

If you do another body for this chassis, please don't do another Jeep. Do something abstract like the k-5 blazer you are currently doing... something fresh and a little left of centre

Looking forward to the 18th!

The only other Jeep that I want to see is a 1977 Cherokee Chief body. I would like to see someone come out with a Nissan Exterra body though.

I'd love an 80s Chevy step side truck. Front would be similar to the Blazer but the rear is all awesome! My dad had one of these for like 25 years. It was ugly as hell by the end but it would never die.

Im so glade to see another scaler.and they sure upped the game compared to the scx...the scx made axial what they are today then they just forgot all about it...for instance we shouldhave ar60 axles available in scx width..there best most scale axles they have and they dont make them in the scx width there most scale rig??? It makes no sence to me...dont get me wrong I love axial and the scx but it just pisses me off they aint made it better...its been close to 10 years and not a single chassis change besides different wheelbase thats it....my hats off to vaterra this blazer kicks ass..I love this thing,,,,, sorry axial for the rant, I just think you all should be giving some love to the truck thats fed ya well..

I see and agree. For years now, the only change is crappy tires and wheels, bodies and drive shafts. Its nice to see another company that actually seen what the consumer wanted and did it. Axial is a good company, but they will lose certain customers unless they pick the pass up.
