Default Vaterra HD Pinion Gears & HD Driveshafts Info

PLEASE NOTE that the way our inventory system works, these part numbers will not be live until tomorrow. You will not be able to order them, nor will they show up on our site until tomorrow 12/20/14

THE SHIP DATE once they are live on Horizon Hobby will not be correct. Again, this is a automated system thing that might say they will not be in stock until March, I'm working with our vendor to get them here ASAP. I'll know more soon, so please be patient with us as you already have been.

Now some info.

The VTR232080 HD Pinion Gears will come in a pair and will only be the pinion gear themselves. Retail price will be $11.99. As you can see in the pictures, we've added material between the gears and we have changed the material being used. So far in testing, they have been awesome and yes I've had testers outside of Vaterra trying these.

The VTR232079 HD Driveshafts will be sold in a set of Long and Short. These will retail for $11.99. There is a pretty obvious design change here as you can see when compared to the original shafts. Some may ask why we didn't do this in the first and to be dead honest the design is from the Twin Hammers which have been pretty solid for us and with trying to use the same parts, we felt the existing design would be fine. The good news is that if you own a Twin Hammers, the long set will bolt right up.

So one more time, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE LIVE UNTIL AT LEAST TOMORROW

Thanks,

Good stuff. Will these eventually become stock parts or just as an upgrade?

Outstanding !

I am really impressed with the customer support of Vaterra, and I must say that the ascender is by far my favorite truck of my fleet (8 running scalers).

Thanks for a gear option, once mine decide to break, and at a good price.

Why make one hardened and leave the other one the shitty pot metal.

Probably to meet the present demand for a hardened pinion quickly... I'm sure if the need arises a hardened ring gear will become available, if it's not already in the works.

Great job by Vaterra getting these out to the public so quickly. Man, I can't wait until Christmas morning... Ascender for me (I hope).

Thanks so much Rich.

Awesome.

Driveshafts look good too. Just a heads up for everyone (maybe its been covered already), stock LCC/LNC driveshafts bolt right on to the Ascender yokes. Good to know if you break one and happen to have some old Losi stuff banging around in your parts bin...

The LNC driveshafts are CVD with dogbones, not adjustable in length... And how do you screw them on the diff output? Which is not a standard shaft.

The LCC could work though.

Didn't realize the LCC/LNC had different driveshafts. My bad.
