Default scale Warn winch mounting

I've seen many examples of people with the Blazer Ascender with a scale Warn winch mounted to the front stock bumper. Some removed the nerf bar, some didn't. Any suggestions? Close up pics would be great also. Thanks.

Not on the bumper but it is a more solid mount, hope it helps.

I just drilled and tapped the front winch plate holes through the crossmember for the optional servo position.

Mounting like that would work if I moved my steering servo in the other direction. Will the body not cover that winch mounted like that?

Looking to see if anyone has mounted the winch so it is visible on a stock ascender bumper. Is it possible? Looks like the bumper may be too small to hold the mounting plate but I am not sure as I don't own a winch and just going by pictures and measurements I can read on the internet.

Any tutorials or anything would be great.

My question is now, what if the winch was to be mounted the length of the chassis on the servo winch mount holes? The winch front has the side rollers so it shouldnt hurt the winch any. Would that work as a mounting position for the warn 9.5cti winch or not? Im looking at this area to mount. Ine up. But as of this time, ive not gotten it figured further. Saw this post so Im asking as well. But the cross front servo mount idea is nice.

If your run a winch sides ways with the roller fairlead it won't hurt the cable any but what it wont do is wind the cable on the spool properly it will bunch up on the end making it so you can't put as much cable on the winch spool.

.

Yes the winch is hidden by the body. Servo winches are typically mounted behind the body also. I can't see mounting a winch to a bumper that isn't made for the task.

I am not there in my build yet but in terms of the body hitting the winch can the front bumper not be spaced out more for winch mounting?

It's not that, the bumper it's self is shallow and most winches don't fit in terms of getting all four mounting bolts down through it.
