Default Is there any Drive shaft alternatives ?

My LHS don't carry them in stock is there a alternative that I can use like a. Axial, losi, or traxxas part that will work to get me back rolling thanks guys

There is not any alternative. The K5's shafts are not like anything else out there at the moment. You have 3 choices. stock, upgraded HD shafts, which I have run to good success so far, and MIPs.

Best place to find the HD shafts at this moment would seem to be Ebay.

I have been wondering is a newer axial wild bore shaft could be fitted to the stock vaterra yokes with any success, as they seem to be similar in size, but I haven't had a chance to mess with it.

There is a conversion kit from Italy, which allows the usage of Axial or other shafts

The Twin Hammers driveshafts will work too, however if used on the front, you will have to trim a little.

MIP shafts. A bit pricey but one less link in the chain to break.

That is pretty cool! I have not seen those before. I already have MIP's on mine, but that is a nice alternative. Could use punishers or whatever you want with that.
