Default Alexander_0_1s Ascender.

Hey guys, just thought I'd take some time to share my ascender with you.....all. I would have liked to have trail picks for you guys, but I live close to the eastern border of Alberta, which means that there isn't a pile of rocks for miles, unless I, or another land owner put them there.

Wow nice build list and I see that you're already installing parts. No rocks is a bummer, but you can still do some trailing? I've not been to Alberta, so don't know...just looked at Google map with terrain. You could drive west to Jasper National Park (long drive) for camp and crawl trip. Maybe Whitney Lakes Provincial Park, maybe somewhere along the big river that google fails to name lol, Frenchman Butte National Historic Site...hmmm gotta recon it more with google maps, put your local knowledge to it and then take a few drives with your crawler out for a looksy.

I just spent a week in jasper, just got back on Friday, but my stay was at a spa/resort. Would you believe I managed to remember my camcorder charger, and docking base thingie, but forgot the actual camera on the t.v stand, so no footage. The only footage I got was of my baby brother messing around with the mini revo. The most km I've put on my Ford in a while, but I was absolutely not going to take the damn mini van!

The Whitney Lakes thing is a good idea, I rent a camping stall at Ross Lake during the summer, they let me play with my Gassers/Nitros there.

The river closest to me is called the North Saskatchewan River, it does have a trail called the iron horse. I'm impressed none the less, Sir!

I'm working on getting one of those tri-pods that follow a sensor, so I can clamp my camcorder to it, and hide the sensor in the chassis somewhere.

Buying wheels is kinda addicting. I just received another order of tires, and foams, so I started mixing and matching with what I currently have in my collection.

Nice, what's your favorite for this truck? I have several sets of wheels, tires and foams, fun stuff, I'm buying another set of tires and going to sell off a few sets of tires.

GCM.
For the beadlock-less look, easy of mountablility, and they tuck under the fenders very nicely I'd say GCM. But them having .750" internal clamping ring makes me think they are too narrow for maximum performance of the lil nova line of foams, so I think I'll stick with the closed cells they're wearing now.

TSS.
For the cool gotta have them, wow factor, hands down TSS, they just look badass sitting still, since they use slw hubs you can get them to tuck undsr the fenders all you need, but they too have a .750" internal clamping ring, so I think they are also too narrow for the lil novas.....so, again closed cells.

LURC.
But for performance, as well as the combinations that LURC offers you can't go wrong, once you get the wideners they are perfect for the lil novas....well, slightly wider than the recommended 1", but who'd really notice 1.1mm anyway.

I really can't say I like one set more than the other, I like variety. The GCMs with closed cells do double duty, I use them for my ascender, and my blue monkey rc if/rs wraith....its in the background of some of my pics in this thread......yup not one solid axle on it.

The LURCs were the only ones I decided to get both the growlers, and rock beasts w/lil novas. I don't like pulling lil nova, or any dual stage foams once they're in there, they're in there.

I know its a bad pic, but I just added the GCM vaterra kit, as well as the SSD chrome front/rear bumpers. Now to get my hands on an ESS-ONE.

I'm thinking of going with smaller tire, something in a 4.0" range.

As you can see I've still got to do some wiring.

I'd be interested in any ideas you all might have, as to where I could mount the lipo....maybe lipos, and then there's that huge ESC.......

Hey gents, I just received an E-mail telling me that the "tailgate light buckets" yup TAILGATE light bucket have been added to the rcaddict store.....so I thought it d give it a try. Could be a fun gag if I'm ever trailing with scx jeeps, or someone with a bronco body.

I'll most likely paint it so the letter are the only thing that lights up.

This is what it looks like.
