Default Crustys K5

OK, here's the painted body. I used some weathered black to paint the "rubber gaskets" around the windows. My '87 K5 doesn't have any chrome trim around the windows other than the ones on the top so that is what I was coping.
For the color, I was trying to mimic the color of my '05 Harley, a black cherry pearl/black pearl two tone paint. I used faskolors to paint it. I took their burgundy color and mixed in some faspearl white and Faspearl Charcoal. For the top/stripe, I used faspearl Charcoal. I'm not putting on the "chrome Silverado" stuff as my K5 is not a Silverado and so doesn't have it. You can see that depending on the angle of the light, the color changes some due to the pearl.

Smaller tires makes it look more realistic.

Here is my freshly painted K-5... Just a shame that the blue is not the tint that I wanted, but the final result is still nice..
It was my first time building a kit RC and painting a body.. I think I nailed it!!

Just received this yesterday. the paint job from the factory really sucks but will be changing that soon!

First run with the Ascender:

I'm not a Chevy fan so I got to work on a Proline 1973 Bronco body and swapped out the useless stock rubber for some 1.55 slot mags and Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC's.
