Default Lights, Magnets?

Hey all,,

How's everyone running their lights?

I have a night crawl coming up and I have to get my rig and the boys rig lit up.. He has an Axial ScX10. I am sure it depends on what lights I use. I am thinking about 10 lights for mine and 6 for his.

And, I have seen some folk using little magnets for their bodies to stay on? Any chance on where to get some of these? What size.?

Thanks in advance,

Any help would be great..

For lights there are several different ways to do it. I bought pack of ten white 5mm LEDs at LHS with resistors and lead wire all soldered for like $10, got some waterproof red led light strips from another member here (these are rock lights front and rear), used my crimpers and set it all up with rx plugs and wiring. Mine run straight off battery pack voltage with a pigtail that I soldered in at the back side of the ESC power plug.

I use the stock body post and pins with Traxxas white nylon washers inside and out (ShoeGoo the inside washers to the body) to hold my bodies on. My LHS and Home Depot have super strong neodymium magnets with or without holes in the middle, I bought a pack of 6 at Home Depot for less than $4. Harbor Freight has them too.

I run traxxas style battery connectors on my rigs. If you do, you can pick up http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBXUB&P=ML

I added a ground lead and use it to power my lights and winch straight off the battery.

The light strips mentioned above do a great job of lighting up the area right below the truck too.

I hope that info helps.
