| First RC K5 Build
This is my first RC car since I was a kid. I did quite a bit of research on what I wanted. I decided on a 1/10th and the Ascender K5. I have been a Chevy fan my whole life and the K5 has been a personal favorite. Because of that the Ascender won. I was going to do a build thread but didn't see the need since I was building it stock and there are already build threads for that. Here is the stuff that was purchased and used for the build. Here is the chasis: And the almost final: Theres still a lot to do but I couldn't wait any longer to get out play with it. Matt Last edited by Fornstar; 01-05-2015 at 12:27 PM. |

Nice colour and the black wheels are great! You could probably lower the body a lot, especially in the front and it would look even better!

The wheels are actually Gun Metal, same color as the top and hood, hard to tell in pic. They were chrome plastic but I can't stand any bling on an off road truck. Lowering the body is on the list. Matt

Yep, wheel color is very cool, nice choice of body colors as well. Sits a little high but hey there's lots of room for tweaking.

| Re: RC Noob K5 Build Very nice. Love the color choice and the wheels. What motor esc combo is that? **Edit - nevermind. I was able to zoom in on it. How's it working for you? Last edited by Griffin; 01-08-2015 at 05:02 AM. |

The motor is a 35T. I went in doing quite a bit of research online but having zero hands on experience. The guy at the LHS has one and he gave me what I needed. I told him I didn't want to go cheap but also not top of the line, kinda middle of the road. Matt
