| How to shorten wheelbase by mm?
So now that I have the proline Comanche body, I noticed the body WB is 313mm and the ascender stock is 314mm. I wouldn't think this would be a noticeable difference but it's enough to not look quite right. It seems like I've heard guys on the forum talk about making minor adjustments to slightly change WB but can't find the info from searching. Do I just try and shorten the links? If I take out a spacer wouldn't that be too much and have to adjust the frame then too? Thinking may just have to make a shorter spacer. Anyone done this?

I'd use benchtop disc or belt sander and shave a millimeter or whaterver off the spacer and then screw it all back together. Mark your line before you start sanding and take a little off at a time, but personally finding it hard that one mm is that much. Pic?

But for now here are some links I hope work to show how much the front is off when the rear is centered. http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...psz5t45nfi.jpg http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...psg9oswvu0.jpg http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...psxbizzipw.jpg |

Slightly off, but looks fine to me. Your vertical dashed line is not perpendicular to the table, so it looks like it's off more than it is. Shorten the links a millimeter or two. |

Nate dog is right it doesn't look to bad. If you can't shorten your links you can always make custom links with 8/32 threaded rod and 1/8 steel tube

Don't need a star to post pics you're using photobucket just copy and paste the img code If it was me I would shorten it a couple by pulling out the spacer in the front link and replace it. If you could get your hands on a couple of the spacers Axial uses for the front mount battery tray you could cut them to any length you needed. |

Thanks for the pic tip 2000...I thought about shaving down the spacer in front but may want to put blazer body back on at some point, so finding alternate spacer and cutting sounds good to me. Thanks for the help guys.
