Default From Russia with love or adventure Vaterra Ascender in Russia

Hello!
I - Dan.
And this is my car.
Purchased RTR.
Immediately it was purchased to replace the tires and wheels in size 1.9 - RC4WD + Irok
Then I ordered a new electronics - MMP (USB Link) + Trackstar 21.5 + CC Bec 10A + Savox 0231 MG.
Also ordered pinions HD and MIP X-Duty C-Drive Kit.
I decided to take the normal battery in hard case 5A and placed it across platforms by placing silicone tube from the fuel system of its nitro cars.
Another tried to add the weight of the car by placing the weight of steel bolts 1.8 pounds on the sides of the chassis and received 8.8 ounces pounds total weight.

I do not know what happens, because had not yet arrived electronics and spare parts. What do you say to the account of the weight? Is it good or bad?

It is very annoying one moment - when driving forward much body roll on the left side. How can I fix this point? Someone tells me that solved this issue by replacing shock absorbers Proline.

Dan232 - Nice Ascender!.

The weight in the middle may or may not have a negative effect - generally the more weight on the front axle the better. The body roll to the left side is the torque twist, and I don't know of an efficient way to solve all of the twist yet. Some sort of anti-sway bar would take out most of the twist.

The only thing I can see that may cause you a problem as it did me, with the battery setting sideways where it is now the tires may rub it. My battery now sets sideways on the shock mounts.

BrotherAndySLB thank!
The battery does not touch the wheel. This I checked. The front of the car is loaded enough in stock. Generally speaking, I try to ride with or without a load on the snow. With load model goes smoothly over bumps, but more slowly and the battery is running out fast. The hill is going as usual. Without load a model in a straight line goes faster, much easier, and the hill as well as with the load.

Install Axial Wraith Front Swaybar on rear of Ascender using softest bar in the kit, works great to reduce torque twist to almost nothing. This is what userid Metalry101 and I did, you can see pics in our threads.

@Dan232, looks great with those wheels and tires! If the added weight of the bolts works for you then run them, I don't have any added weight on mine or in my wheels and it works great!

Dan, it looks like you are going to be busy for a while!

I will be interested to hear how things go with the MIP C-Drive kit. How smoothly the installation goes and how smoothly they run.

I recently installed a set on my SCX10, 12.3 WB, and wasn't happy with how they worked until I added 2mm spacers to the upper front links. They still aren't as smooth as the stock drives were.

I also have them on my Wraith and Gelande 2. They run well on those rigs.

It will be fun to see how it runs in the snow. I love the chains!

I have not found them in the car. Yesterday engaged in sealing. Then I write about their installation and operation.

I've got MIPs in my ascender, they are fine. My rear axle is clocked, front axle is tweaked just a hair, but I clocked the axles because I run 2.2s.

Hello!
Someone put on this model G-Transition shocks?
On sale is a 1/10 and 1/8. Between them there is a difference? And what protective covers it is suitable for them? RC4WD?

I like your taste in wheels and tires! Should have got 2.2s! I wouldn't trade my 2.2 iroks for anything.

Go with 1/10th scale shocks, the 1:8th will be too large diameter. Even some tenth shocks maybe too large and require spacers or more to make them clear the chassis. IIRC userid shape shifter had these shocks on his Komodo chassis with ascender axle pickup.

I like the IROKS and wheels that you have, looks good.

EDIT: Here ya go:
Gmade Komodo with Ascender Axles

I compared the data on 1/8 and 1/10, and there is such information, that they are the same)))
Who issued the order on 1/8 at Amain. The color of shocks is red.

Not sure what you mean, so you're saying that 1/8 and 1/10 shock specifications are the same for G-Made shocks?

Do you mean, who's ordered from A-Main Hobbies?

I would say that this manufacturer of these shocks on the scale of 1/8 and 1/10 have similar characteristics. I ordered the 1/8 on Amain

The RC4WD Irok tires look great! They appear to be the perfect size. Very nice choice!
