Until now I never ran class 2, I built this rig specifically for it so I could go to a regional event. This was the shakedown run and kind of thrown together with left overs from years of being in the hobby. I went first, only took two reverse penalties per course and won the event with a -96! The turning radius is almost crazy now and completely seamless shifts kept people wondering. The mod is super simple to do and I'm still running plastic gears. My metal set came in too late to install but I will have them in shortly. If anyone is hesitating to do this, don't. You won't regret it. |

To add, I run stock shocks, and all plastic housings with unweighted wheels. Nothing over the top otherwise.

That's awesome...I wouldn't see why plastic gears wouldn't hold up just as long your not running crazy power and not putting it in a huge bind with slipper tightened down. Add some KLRs with some weight and she'll do even better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just found this today. Looks awesome. I hope this kit is still available. I sent a email today. How did you work out payment? I'm getting ready to do a new build soon. This setup will give me a ton of options for axles. Does anyone know if I can change the transmission input shaft? I would like to use this setup as a transfer case with a front motor. I tried to contact him a few months back and no dice. Is this something that can be made with hardware and some shop tools?

| Re: Ascender With Overdrive Mod Thanks, mate! Unfortunately Giuseppe doesn't offer these kits anymore! Any ideas on the solution? The best I have is to source the gearbox from the new Element Sendero - AFAIK it has the overdrive in the gearbox, not the axles with different pinion/spool gear pairs... ? |

You're welcome! That sucks. You can use any tranny/transfer case combo that gears it low enough and has OD/UD capabilites, such as RC4WD TF2 or their newer adjustable RC4WD OVER/UNDER DRIVE TRANSFER CASE Part Number:Z-U0039 https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-OverUn...se_p_7141.html |

That's awesome, just be sure you've got an RCC vendor's star. I'd love to have OD/UD! |
