Default Why I got a ascender!

Day one!
I was told by my doctor to lose weight, gym membership is expensive and people are judgemental.
I got outside and started walking!
started out slow, half a mile a day.
now I'm walking 1 mile plus a day. on this day I made it 2 miles. I am not tracking weight lost, but I can tell I'm losing inches as the pants are falling off!

Comet that is super cool that you are motivated at getting out and getting some excersize! But adding the Scaler into the mix just makes for the most epic weight loss program ever!! Cool and good on ya man!

Buy some suspenders and keep on walking! Good job. The tire tuck on that Blazer body looks cool.

Inner fenders made, to protect my investment.
Winch and bumper to get me out of tight spots!

Cool. When running a crawler, I tend to lose track of time and distance walked. I always end up walking further than it seems. I also get lost in my thoughts, which is very therapeutic for me. It's a healthy hobby, if you ask me.

That's awesome, starting slow and just keep working on getting back in shape and losing weight! Walking is one of the best ways to start. I'm glad you started a thread with your new Ascender, looking good with Rockbeast and those wheels...RC4WD beadlocks or? Bumper and winch looks great too!

Good way to Get in shape!

Those mountains and fjords looks almost the same as the ones here in Norway!
Epic scenery.

Your ascender looks good. Nice with the winch and bumper.

I too loose track of time when I'm out trailing. Me and my sons often use a couple of hours or more,
having fun.

There are a few things that can disconnect the brain from everyday stress, and that is cross country skiing, rc trailing and discgolf

I'll be posting more scenery, the Rocky Mountains are beautiful, but I would like to see Norway in person someday, parents had a exchange student from there, pictures don't do it justice!
Got out with a group today! No pictures from me, just trying to establish a group of like minded people, it's more fun with a group.

That's cool. Norway is a small country. Population ca. 5 million people.
Yes we have a lot of beautiful nature, but that has USA as well

It's probably a lot more free here, as we are allowed to walk everywhere we want. Even private land. All for free.

I will keep checking your thread frequently to check for more pics and updates.

Happy trailing!

Good for you! Going out with a group is definitely more fun. I find that the others see lines and places to go I don't so that's fun. Plus I'm competitive so I like the challenge of putting my truck wherever theirs go or finding that new line on occasion that the others haven't. It's a fun hobby for sure. Keep up the good work and keep the pictures coming.

Small group, 9 people and a bunch of different rigs! Wraith, bombers, go fast rigs and slow go rigs. I'm the fat guy sitting on the tailgate with the red shirt.

Nice with pics!

Your red Ascender I presume?

Looks like a good place to crawl and spending time trailing while doing a little workout

yep, only ascender there! Dry creek bed goes for miles. Hill climbs and deer trails every where.

Ahh Using the "need to lose weight" to play with a toy truck excuse I see, I do it for the ladies myself. ;) That has got to be the sexiest group of RC dudes around..
Trucks is coming along with your personal style and I've enjoyed the journey this far. Now lets get out there and enjoy some trails... Soon as I heal. lol
