Successful battery change! I was worried how I would do it. That hole will be covered up. I the only thing visible will be the traxxas connectors

And got the pedals in. This will be an automatic....

Great to hear, SSD aluminum diff covers are my favorite for best engineered, thickness, fit and finish!

Thanks nate my second closest not-so-local hobby shop carries some ssd stuff, ill have to make a trip after turkey day to pick up a pair ;)

Heres a pic of mr bones leadfoot haha

He is a little on the short side, so I had to move the seat pretty far forward in the cab so he could reach the pedals, steering wheel, and gear shift. A bit too far, but gonna have to live with it as the seat is now permanently melted, glued and stuck where its at

Whelp usps seems to have had a brain fart and couldnt find my place(seriously???). My axles are back on the west coast 8(.

Id like to note that Ernie had those axles in Pittsburgh in 48hrs from across the country.
Weird that the package never came to my local post office, but were being delivered by a regional postman... They should have let the local guy do it...

Got the axles I ordered... And Ernie threw in some great sliders on the second set he sent me. The first set is currently in limbo as usps has and is, and has dropped, and still dropping the ball lol.

Ernie I pray they make good on insurance if it comes to that

I also finished my trans cover.
I will do the axles iin rhe next couple of weeks and here is a pic:

Thanks for posting up!! Just glad you finally got some axles for your rig.
I'm sure will be able to put the sliders to good use. Now get busy, I want to see those axles on your rig.

Well I was going to start the rear axle last night, but when breaking down the stock one I shattered my 2mm driver 8(

Gotta get a new replacement shaft hopefully I will get near a hobby shop at today to pick one up.

I got the rear one in Ernie!

I also fixed rear pinion angle.... I added a 1 mm spacer to the upper links. I did not want to add more there because the ball ends will not have many threads to grab. So I heated and bent the upper link mount. Im gonna take the spacer out of the links tho:

I attempted to outboard the shocks... Did not work out so well, made the sway link as short as I could, and it still was hitting the frame rails short of full compression. Im not having a torque twist issue, so inboard they will stay

Coming along very nicely Rich! Hope the axles will make a difference for you! I finally got the first ones I sent you in the mail today. So it all worked out.

Too heavy imo. Inner ring is steel.

Ty nate. Any suggestions for a set of 4 complete bolt on rims for round 80$ or less? I really like 5 spoke, slot, etc rims. The more old school style the better. Ty in advance

RC4WD wagon wheels in 6 or 5 lug, they make many styles besides wagon:
1.9'' Wheels

SSD stamped steel:

Rc4wd breakers are perfect, but out of stock 8(
While the ssd wheels are the right price, im not feeling the style. Would drilling the EVO steel inner rings to save weight cause any issues???

I would try swapping in VP 1.9 inner lock (clamp) rings, they are aluminum and I've used them with my RC4WD wagon wheels. Way less work, cheap and good quality.

Not sure, but my rule is to us VP inner lock rings with all RC4WD wheels. I'd have to see the gap in the assembled wheels (without tires) between the lock ring and the bead area, lock rings are only $7 each.
