Underdrive would be the only option I'm interested in. The Ascender definitely doesn't need any less gear reduction in the axles.

I'd also be in for underdrive gears, the only question I have is the durability of that pinion VS the Vaterra HD one. It looks like it might be easy to take the teeth off of it

Wondering if anyone has any good or bad experiences with this company? I like the price of nuckles/hubs combo....

So, do these gears hold up over time?

My experience with boom racing has been mixed. I've ran their knuckles and chubs on my scx10 and felt that there was too much slop in the bearings. I have nothing bad to say about their scx10 steel transmission gear set. It's lasted and seems smooth. The hit and miss nature of their quality combined with shipping that usually takes 2 weeks has led me to not order much from them anymore. I do have a buddy that runs their aluminum wheels on several rigs and they seem legit for sure.

It does seem that the customer service is good, unlike my experience with Hot Racing.... Dont get me wrong, I love HR, and have bought many parts for my traxxas trucks, and will continue to do so. But had an issue with a butter soft alum trans plate on a 50$ alum transmission. Tried for a month to find a way to just CONTACT them to replace the motor plate... The trans is still over there in a box somewhere useless.

So seeing one post here where Boom jumped at the chance to replace a set of these gears that the poster was unsatisfied with is def a plus for the vendor in my eyes....
