Hey Nate, I use these from McMasters, not heat inserts, but I just use a little CA when I install them and the hold great.

Is this page helpful?

I just finished up an order that is going to Burns Wyoming!

Front and rear axles with Codyboy steering.

12.5 oz of none rotating weight just about as low as you can get it.

65 degrees of steering.

Top work Ernie! Looking good!
How are folks getting all that steering angle from the servo? I have a longer servo arm now, but have raised the servo up to sit on top of servo mounts, worried about the arm hitting the chassis rail when turning full left, Does the servo arm clear the chassis with the servo in stock location?

My axles are still going strong and doing great, gave them a hard time in that tug of war video hehe!

G'day ernie, firstly what an great build up, these are the threads I love to watch and read. very informative and the way you explain things is very helpful.

I currently have a scx10ii as more of a builder, building a cc01 unimog for the young fella and yesterday purchased a K5 ascender. I'm very interested in your codyboy steering setup.

Could I PM you in regards to the front axle setup and possibly getting one done? I'm a sucker for some serious steering throw.

I sent you a PM, lets talk, and see if we can get your blazer set up with some weight down low and upgraded steering.

Cody I can't seem to find the packing slip to get the part number to get you the drill size. We have been out of town for a funeral. I'll look it up when I get home

Little less damping in front seems to work well in mine too.

Ok, time for a little update!
I've been working on a new body for my K10, the Proline 66 chevy.

I didn't even get a chance to run it and Nuked something under the hood!

I made a change to my shocks, I had put some modified big bores on my TRX-4 so I made some changes to the O-rings and spacers on the TRX-4 shocks and put them on my K10. I also put some softer springs and 20w oil in them.

I haven't done a air brush paint job in a while, so dug out one of my 20 year old designs and went to work.

Needs some trimming to get it down on the chassis, but that will have to be later.

Thanks for looking.
Ernie

OH, you're goooood! I used to paint display bodies for a hobby shop, but through my long absence from the hobby and from the air brush, I somehow lost every bit of talent I once possessed. Might just have to start sending my bodies your way

Sounds good Chris, I think our biggest challenge will be finding the colors to match your dads trucks. You should be getting a package maybe Monday, my treat!
